Everything Signalias sees
A closer look at each part of the app.
See the airwaves around you
The heart of Signalias is a live radar sweep. Every Wi-Fi access point, Bluetooth device and RF emitter in range appears as a blip, placed by signal strength so the closest devices sit nearest the center. Each contact is color-coded and icon-tagged by type — camera, phone, router, wearable, tracker, vehicle sensor — so a crowded RF environment becomes something you can actually read at a glance.
Your scope, your way
Pinch to zoom the radar in and out to expand the range ring from a few meters out to hundreds. Toggle device labels on to see exact names and IDs for every contact, or switch them off for a clean, uncluttered scope — perfect for quickly spotting a single device or surveying a whole area.
Alerts the moment it matters
When a high-interest device comes within range, Signalias raises an immediate on-screen warning with a preview thumbnail of the device type. You don't have to be staring at the radar — the alert surfaces the detection, its category and its risk level so you know right away whether it's a passing phone or a fixed surveillance camera.
Warning: camera nearby
Critical detections escalate to a full-screen alert — for example, “surveillance camera nearby.” The high-contrast popup is designed to be readable at a glance while you're walking or driving, making sure privacy-relevant devices like cameras and ALPR systems never get lost in the noise.
Teach it what's yours
Tap into any detection to take action. Ignore a device, or file it into categories like Home, My Stuff, Friend, Police or a custom label of your own. Signalias remembers your choices, so your own gear stops triggering alerts and genuinely unknown devices stand out on future scans.
Hunt a signal to its source
Need to physically find the source of a signal? Foxhunt mode locks onto a single device and turns your phone into a hot-and-cold locator, with a giant live signal-strength readout, a warmer/colder proximity trend, peak RSSI and an estimated distance. Scanning tightens to its fastest cadence so the readout updates almost continuously as you close in.
Spot a tail, not a coincidence
This analyzer watches for the tell-tale pattern of a device that keeps reappearing as you move — the signature of a tracker or a tail. It flags persistent followers over time and suggests simple checks, like changing your route to confirm whether the same device keeps returning, giving you an evidence-based answer instead of a guess.
Route around the cameras
Signalias includes turn-by-turn navigation that can actively route you around known automatic license-plate-reader (ALPR) camera locations. Enter a destination and it plans a path that avoids flagged surveillance points, with live route recalculation and notifications as you drive.
See the whole landscape
The full-screen map plots detections geographically and layers in community surveillance data (DeFlock). Switch base maps, toggle overlays for camera types and detection sources, and build a clear picture of the surveillance landscape around a whole neighborhood — not just what's in immediate radio range.
Sub-GHz in one tap
Adding sub-GHz hardware is painless. Plug a supported ESP32 board into your phone over USB and Signalias flashes the companion firmware for you — no desktop, no command line. Once it's connected, the app starts pulling in TPMS, key-fob and generic RF detections automatically.
Make it yours
Signalias is highly customizable. Choose light or dark themes, recolor the radar sweep, pick from multiple device icon sets, and switch speed and distance units. The interface adapts to how you like to work, whether you want a stealthy dark scope or a bright, high-visibility readout.
Flexible backends, WiGLE-ready
Configure which radios drive your scans — the phone's built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, plus optional ESP32/CC1101 sub-GHz and SDR hardware — all from one settings panel. Connect your WiGLE API key to enrich and export detection data, tying your local scans into the wider wardriving ecosystem.
Works with off-the-shelf hardware
Pair an inexpensive ESP32 board with a CC1101 transceiver to unlock sub-GHz detection — flashed and driven straight from the app.
Unlocks tire-pressure sensors, key fobs and other 315/433/868/915 MHz signals.
Camera, router, phone, tracker and wearable detection works out of the box using your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Sub-GHz detection (TPMS, key fobs) and wideband SDR features require optional companion hardware. Signalias identifies and classifies wireless devices from their public advertisements — it does not decrypt, intercept or access private data.
